Adobe and NVIDIA on October 15 said they are expanding their partnership to optimize Photoshop, Premiere and Substance 3D for the new RTX Spark chip, according to a press release. The companies claim up to 2x faster AI processing on the new silicon.
The move targets creative professionals who work across images, video, motion and 3D in a single project. NVIDIA’s RTX Spark chip, which launches October 16, is the hardware platform for the performance claims. The two companies first announced a strategic partnership in March.
Adobe said it rearchitected the three tools to take advantage of RTX Spark’s unified memory and AI compute. For Premiere, the release cites speed gains in playback, rendering and AI-powered features such as Enhance Speech and Object Mask. For Substance 3D Painter, the heaviest texturing steps are accelerated. The announcement includes no independent test results for the speed claims.
Adobe also said it is using NVIDIA accelerated computing to speed media processing in its Frame.io video collaboration platform. Early results from selected transcode and search workloads show roughly 5x faster embedding generation and a 4–5x improvement in P95 processing latency, according to the release.
Adobe Brand Concierge, an enterprise tool for personalized customer interactions, has been optimized with NVIDIA Nemotron open models and will be available to enterprise customers later this year, the companies said. Adobe and NVIDIA plan to showcase the advancements at the Adobe MAX conference, November 10–12.
