NIDS Co., Ltd. said on Oct. 31 that it will take part in CES 2027 to expand its global business-to-business supply chain for environmental sensors, according to the company's PR Newswire announcement1.
The South Korea-based sensor maker said it plans to move from domestic industry events to overseas customer acquisition in robotics, HVAC and smart building markets. The announcement does not include CES organizer details such as booth location or access terms.
NIDS will use CES 2027 as its next sales and marketing stage after appearing at SEDEX 2026 in Seoul, where it said it showed next-generation sensor modules in the Korea Semiconductor Industry Association's Sensor Pavilion, according to the same release. The company said it plans to deepen supply talks with global home appliance makers, HVAC specialists and robotics companies.
Product claims and manufacturing
In the release, NIDS said its main products include particulate matter sensors, optical gas sensors based on non-dispersive infrared technology, composite environmental sensors and electronic nose sensor modules. It said its particulate matter sensors measure PM1.0, PM2.5 and PM10, while its gas sensors target carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and other gases, according to the announcement1.
The company also plans to highlight a newly developed ultra-compact MEMS sensor technology at CES 2027 and show examples of its optical and gas sensors used in air-quality management systems. Those are planned demonstrations, not independently observed results.
NIDS said it has supplied more than 10 million sensors cumulatively to domestic and international companies, including Dyson, Samsung Electronics and Hyundai Motor, and that it has annual mass-production capacity of 5 million units for air-quality sensing components. The release provides no customer confirmation or shipment breakdowns.
Composite modules and overseas expansion
NIDS said its current expansion focus is next-generation composite sensor modules that handle multiple types of environmental data on a B2B basis, concentrating on demand from robotics, industrial safety and odor detection. The company will rely on branch operations in the United States, Japan and China to support overseas market development tied to CES 2027.
