DEEPX founder and CEO Lokwon Kim attended a Consumer Technology Association media event in San Francisco on September 21, 2026, and the company announced plans to exhibit customer deployments at CES 2027 in Las Vegas, according to a DEEPX LinkedIn post.

The appearance signals DEEPX's intent to position its low-power edge AI chips as an alternative to data-center inference for robotics and other physical AI applications at one of the industry's highest-profile venues. According to the company's post, attendees included CTA CEO Kinsey Fabrizio, CTA VP of Innovation & Trends Brian Comiskey, representatives from Waymo and Zoox, and global media including Bloomberg. The discussion centered on AI's expansion into physical environments and trade-offs between safety, privacy, and industry development.

Kim argued at the event that data center growth faces constraints beyond power supply, specifically shortages of transformers and printed circuit boards. His stated position, as relayed in the post, is that the next phase of AI deployment requires running inference directly on edge devices rather than routing it through centralized infrastructure. DEEPX said it is targeting physical AI chips that achieve roughly 100 times the efficiency of data-center-based inference, with data centers retained for training and complex reasoning tasks while edge devices such as robots handle real-time inference locally. The company provided no independent test results or third-party verification for that efficiency figure in its announcement.

As one illustration of existing deployment, the post cited the Sixfab ALPON X5—a device powered by DEEPX's DX-M1 chip—which won a CES 2026 Best of Innovation Award in the Enterprise Tech category. Chosunbiz reported separately that DEEPX's CES 2027 exhibition will focus on cases where its low-power semiconductors addressed power, heat, and cost constraints in customer products.

CES 2027 is scheduled for January 6–9 in Las Vegas. CTA has announced that Waymo co-CEO Tekedra Mawakana and Stellantis will deliver keynotes at the show, according to the DEEPX LinkedIn post. DEEPX's planned exhibition would place it on the show floor alongside autonomous-vehicle and robotics companies that have made physical AI a central theme. The announcement does not include details on which customer deployments DEEPX plans to show, booth location, or product specifications beyond what was described at the September media event.
