The Aura Reach undercuts Kwikset's Halo Select by almost $100. But to reach that price point, some features were sacrificed. The Aura Reach ditches built-in Wi-Fi and an integrated door sensor. I always consider the lack of door-open sensing a deal-breaker, personally. The Aura Reach also carries a Grade 2 security rating, a step down from the Halo's Grade 1. The design is, admittedly, more utilitarian. It’s a calculated trade-off, but whether it's the right one will depend on individual needs and budget.
