Unconfirmed: An X user says screenshots show Anthropic's Claude Code exposing an internal multiplayer interface, and Automatica has not confirmed the claim.
@bebuu_ai wrote on 7 November1 that "Yesterday Anthropic engineer Lydia Hallie said "We don't have multiplayer yet" for Claude Code. Less than 24 hours later, the internal employee UI for it leaked." The post attributes the quote to Hallie. Automatica has not checked it against anything she said herself.
The post says screenshots captured by @testingcatalog inside Claude Code's "Projects (Beta)" show two new panels tagged "Ant only," which it describes as Anthropic's internal staff badge. The first is a "Recent activity" feed that the post says summarises threads and resolved tasks across a shared project. The second is a right-side "Overview" panel with "All," "Threads" and "Scheduled tasks" tabs, which the post says lets several people track what agents and teammates are running in one workspace.
Automatica has not seen those screenshots. The post as retrieved does not include them, and we have not retrieved the @testingcatalog post it cites. The "Ant only" reading is the post's own gloss. So far it is the only source for the claim, and nothing independent backs it.
The account is small. When Automatica checked, the post had 11 likes, 2 replies and no reposts, and @bebuu_ai had 1,088 followers. That is enough to report what the post says, but it is not evidence that the screenshots are real.
The quote as reported describes what was available to customers. It does not say whether Anthropic is building such a feature internally, so the two statements are not necessarily in conflict. That is Automatica's reading, not something the post argues.
Separately, the post says Anthropic rolled out automatic repository setup for Claude Code cloud sessions on its Pro, Max and Ultra plans. It says Claude reads the repo to work out dependencies, network access and required API keys, caches the setup script if it runs in under five minutes, and injects secrets through a proxy outside the virtual machine. The post does not tie this to the multiplayer claim, and Automatica has not checked it independently.
No Anthropic statement on either claim appears in the sources Automatica reviewed. Automatica has no earlier reporting on Claude Code multiplayer features.
An Anthropic statement acknowledging the interface, or a public release of shared-project features matching the described panels, would confirm the claim. Publication of the original screenshots by @testingcatalog, in a form others can verify, would also help.
A correction or deletion by @bebuu_ai or @testingcatalog would undermine it, as would an Anthropic statement that the interface is not what the post describes. A statement from Hallie that differs from the quote would do the same.
