ASRock Rack displayed liquid-cooled NVIDIA Vera Rubin servers at its booth during the OCP Global Summit 2026 in San Jose, according to ServeTheHome's report1.
The event showcased systems designed to reduce total power consumption through direct-to-chip liquid cooling, reflecting ongoing work with partners on cooling technology. The liquid-cooled systems on display included the NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 rack and the HGX Rubin NVL8 servers. The Vera Rubin NVL72 rack features 36 NVIDIA Vera CPUs and 72 NVIDIA Rubin GPUs, with a total of 3,600 PFLOPS of sparse NVFP4 inference and 2,520 PFLOPS of dense NVFP4 training1, according to NVIDIA. The rack also includes 20.7TB of HBM4 memory, with each Rubin GPU getting 288GB. Power is supplied by four 3RU power shelves, each rated at 110kW and using six 18.3kW PSUs plus bulk capacitors. ASRock Rack offers cooling options including in-rack, in-row, RDHx, or liquid-to-air sidecar CDU configurations.
The ASRock Rack 2U16X-GNR2/DLC RUBIN, another notable system, features an NVIDIA HGX Rubin NVL8 board with eight Rubin GPUs in a 2U chassis. The system is fully liquid-cooled, covering the E1.S drives, CPUs, and GPUs, with no fans. It supports a dual-socket Intel Xeon 6 platform and includes eight 800Gbps OSFP ports via NVIDIA ConnectX-9 and 8x hot-swap E1.S NVMe bays. NVIDIA quotes 400 PFLOPS of sparse NVFP4 compute for the HGX Rubin NVL81. The HGX 8-GPU platform underwent major changes in this generation, including a change in GPU orientation, to enable use in high-density, liquid-cooled racks, according to ServeTheHome.
The figures are vendor specifications and have not been independently tested. The booth also featured hybrid-cooled servers, but the source provides no detail on those systems.
