Still, the promise of tailoring the controller exactly to your preference is undeniably appealing.
But let's get real. 8BitDo is asking $150 for this modular marvel. That's a premium price tag, putting it squarely in competition with established players like Microsoft's own Elite controllers and the recent victrix offerings. The Verge points out this is 8BitDo's most expensive gamepad to date. Are swappable buttons worth that premium? Specs and Skepticism: Digging Deeper
Beyond the modularity, 8BitDo is throwing in all the buzzwords: 1000Hz polling rate, Hall effect triggers, remappable bumpers, customizable 6-axis motion control, and even a wireless charging case.
